Surfing Dog

It was just an ordinary day at our local beach. It was hot and still. Even the surf looked tired. A dog Sampson and Smiley his owner went for a swim. Sampson went for a surf as well. It was normal to watch him surf. But not for other people. Few hours later... A busload of japanese tourists came and pulled out their cameras. They were astounded. Seeing that small dog surf froze them for a minute then... flash FLASH FLASH FLASH! Sampson was famous.

Suddenly Sampson fell off the board because he was blinded from the flashes. Sampson cut his leg badly and it poured out with blood. It turned a patch of water red. Then suddenly. Suddenly a patch of blue came swimming. Swimming by Sampson. Then. A SHARK JUMPED OUT OF THE WATER, MOUTH WIDE OPEN MISSING SAMPSON BY A SKIN FLAP.

He was scared as hell. He swam and panicked. He was Petrified. the tourists came to their senses and threw rocks the shark was frightened and swam.

The poor dog Sampson went to the vet. and his owner. he was frightened about what is going to happen to his dog. On the other hand, sampson made it to the news and was front page of all leading newspapers.

One ordinary day changed their lives that day forward.

  1. Hi Calvin! I am a student at the University of South Alabama and I am majoring in elementary education. First I'd like to say that I fully enjoyed reading your blog! Your about me is so well written and I love how welcoming you made it sound. This story about Sampson is awesome! Did you write it yourself? It kept me on my toes hoping Sampson would survive. I took a creative writing class in high school and the main focus was to catch and keep the attention of your audience; I'd say you did a superb job with doing both of those! Your illustrations are great too. Do you enjoy blogging in the classroom? I am new to blogging but so far it's making learning fun. I look forward to reading more of your posts. Keep up the good work Calvin!
